Here is a picture from yesteray. I have always had the impression that those are somewhat impossible or at least very difficult to maintain. When I searched for some answers regarding my freshwater fish I got into reading aqua-web forum and found out also it's seawater section. While browsing through it I found out that there has been some breakthroughs since I last looked into marine aquariums and when set up correctly those would not be too hard to maintain.

One day I came across an used aquarium set being sold in the forums market section. And since the price seemed very reasonable I went on and bought it. However because of sellers schedule and mine too I had to pick the tank fairly soon I had to do the cleaning for it myself. Here is what it looked like after having two years of successfull marine life inside.

I know, not too pretty. But I got the instructions how to properly clen it. So I bought some winegar and filled the system with water. I then added 1,5 liters of winegar and let all the equipment running for few days. here is the end result.

Currently I am renovating my house and once this is complete I will bring this tank inside and start to take it into use. I had decided that I will wait and set it up with time after our house renovation. However I had been thinking a small nano scale reef and when I saw how interested my kids were about the reefs I just could not resist. So I went on and bought the 14 l small aquarium, circulation pump, heater, some coral sand, reef salt and approx 1kg live rock.

I drove home and set the tank up. Now I have different kind of corals in there and lots of other living creatures. Here are some pictures:

Ok here we go.

Just managed to set up my first blog.
