First steps with the bigger reef aquarium

I have been interested in saltwater aquariums for over 15 years. I have always had the impression that those are somewhat impossible or at least very difficult to maintain. When I searched for some answers regarding my freshwater fish I got into reading aqua-web forum and found out also it's seawater section. While browsing through it I found out that there has been some breakthroughs since I last looked into marine aquariums and when set up correctly those would not be too hard to maintain.

One day I came across an used aquarium set being sold in the forums market section. And since the price seemed very reasonable I went on and bought it. However because of sellers schedule and mine too I had to pick the tank fairly soon I had to do the cleaning for it myself. Here is what it looked like after having two years of successfull marine life inside.

I know, not too pretty. But I got the instructions how to properly clen it. So I bought some winegar and filled the system with water. I then added 1,5 liters of winegar and let all the equipment running for few days. here is the end result.

Currently I am renovating my house and once this is complete I will bring this tank inside and start to take it into use. Until then I will be enjoying my Nano reef.

Setup:
Tank 128l
approx 60l technical department in the stand with small refugium
1200l/h lift pump from refugium to main tank.
2*3000l/h streams for water movement
Jebo protein skimmer
Heater
Giesemann 250w HQl + 4*24w t5 light.

All equipment except streams are located inside the stand out of sight. There is also a 75w HQl light for the refugium in the cabinet.
